I stayed in the rented property for my final year at university and it was the best place to end my time at Newcastle. The property was very well maintained and the Landlords did not hesitate to help with any issue as well as improve the property during my stay.
The property was very well priced for its facilities and I was very happy with the contract and process.
They replied instantly and were always happy to help. I would recommend any property from MyLets knowing that Elaine and Mark will always look after the property, and most importantly, you.

During my postgrad studies I have rented a room at Brandon Grove from Elaine and Mark and I can assure you that the service provided was excellent. It was very professional, but also very humane which made my experience exceptional. There were never any big issues with the house and they were always present for you if you needed anything, always quick to respond and react. Both of them are extremely friendly people and always willing to have a genuine chat with you which is very rare these days with the landlords. There were no hidden fees or deposit issues, I definitely recommend MYLets!

Rented a room from Mark and Elaine on Helmsley Rd for 2years during my Masters Degree. The property primarily jumped out at me due to its tidy and wonderfully maintained nature. Decorated simply yet tastefully that often had visitors asking “Is this actually a student property?!” If there was ever a problem with the flat for whatever reason (which rarely occurred), Mark and Elaine were quick to sort the problem correctly and efficiently. I particularly dealt with Elaine for the majority of my stay, who proved herself to be the best Landlord I have had; friendly, outwardly willing to help, and always available when needed. So much so that now my tenancy is over we have remained in touch and she is still proving herself willing to help! Can’t fault the property or Mark and Elaine. If only all landlords were the same! I’m going to miss them and the property.

As a post-graduate student wanting to live in a flat without breaking the bank, my experience was wonderful. Final details were a bit last minute on our part and Mark was graciously flexible. It was easy to contact him when we needed to and the property completely suited our needs.

Mark and Elaine were absolutely fantastic right from the beginning to the end of my tenancy. I was impressed with high standard of service, fair agency fee, and hassle free paperwork. They are both very friendly and polite, professional, quick to solve any issues and were always available whenever I needed help. The properties they manage are of high quality and very clean. I have had some awful experiences with other agencies, but My Lets have delivered excellent service with a personal touch and they don’t hesitate to go the extra mile. The boiler broke down once and they rushed to leave me an electric heater as it was right in the middle of winter, and the boiler was replaced the next day! I really can’t fault them. They won’t let you down, I will definitely highly recommend.

Mark and Elaine were great from start to finish. They took into account my requirements and set about making it happen quickly and with a smile on their faces. They helped to place other tenants in the 4-bed house where I took the first room. Being a mature student I was conscious of sharing with people just after the ‘student experience’. They alleviated those worries, helped all they could to get me in and settled by the time required (earlier than most students in the city) all done in a timely manner. A trait they stuck to throughout my tenancy. I would thoroughly recommend their services and might yet use them again myself. They will definitely be my first port of call.

Stayed at a property let by Mark and Elaine from mylets for 12 months last year. Everything was taken care of and nothing was too much trouble. There are lots of letting agencies in Newcastle, but non that can guarantee the excellent, personal service you get with Mark. Definitely recommend.

Mark is a really nice landlord, he is always available to help and very considerate! I would had stayed if I didn’t move in with my boyfriend. All my flatmates thought he is a very good landlord as well.

Mylets was the best landlord ever! Always available for us and understandble. I’d lived for a all year (6 months at uni and 6 month for an internship) on this flat and never got any problem there. Big bedrooms, quiet location, not far from city center and uni, I advise mylets to anyone wants to live in Newcastle Upon Tyne. =).

The property was really good with large kitchen and sitting room and two baths so it was so convenient for student to live in. The agent is brilliant and didnt let us need anything, still remember one day the gas boiler was broken and its freezing at that time. The handy guy came like around 10:30 pm to fix it. I really appreciate what he did and highly recommend you guys to deal with this agent.

I stayed in one of the properties of MyLets for about 4 months. My overall experience was excellent. They take care of their properties and I like the way they accept tenants. They consider how the tenant will fit with the other tenants which reduces the sharing problems a lot. Their response to issues was fast and helpful. I moved to a new place where I was offered the accommodation in return of a part-time work, otherwise I would have stayed with them.

I rented a property with 2 other people from Mark in 2012/13. Flat was newly refurbished when I moved in and is of an excellent standard. Didn’t experience many issues throughout the tenancy, but any issues we did have were dealt with promptly. The flat was great and completed to a very high standard – it was a pleasure living there.
I would certainly recommend MyLets!

The room where I stayed was with a very good quality of finish and very well kept and the rent quite low if compared with others houses.
The landlord was always avaiable when needed and fixed problems soon.

Hi, I am happy to provide this tenant reference to My Lets.
I was their tenant in 146 Brighton Grove from 8th of September 2011 to 7th March 2012.
Throughout the tenancy My Lets were really organised and professional, they kept the property clean, tidy and in a pristine condition. Besides, Mark and his wife were really friendly and kind, whichever problem I had they solved effectively.

I rented a house from Mark in 2011/2012, I found the service to be very professional and friendly. I was new to the area, and Mark showed me a variety of houses, before deciding on Jesmond. Throughout the tenancy, Mark was helpful and efficient in solving any problems. I highly recommend using Mylets as a land agency.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this apartment, it is great value because of its wonderful location and well kept interior. My lets ; Mark Yan has been a fantastic landlord who has quickly and efficiently dealt with any problems that have arisen in the apartment. His professionalism has meant that my tenancy has gone very smoothly, from entering into a contract to finishing the tenancy. My Lets; Mark Yan has shown to be a fair and considerate landlord and I would not hesitate to rent accommodation of him in the future.

They always kept me up-to-date with info on maintenance work, viewings or other issues via text and email. The property itself was spacious, clean, and tastefully furnished – a pleasure to live in. The admin costs were very reasonable.
They were very understanding when dealing with some bill issues and difficult tenants – offering to reimburse a portion of lost money when I was out of pocket. Mark was very helpful and friendly from the beginning when we had contact via email. He always answered quickly to any kind of questions and therefore made it uncomplicated for me to move into the house. My room and the house in general were in a good condition.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the service!

I lived in one of Mark’s properties earlier this year and had a good experience. He was very easy to negotiate with via email which was very important to me as I am an international student and could not see the property before I moved in. My co-residents and I got along very well and the flat was decently furnished. Because Mark lives in the area, when we had a couple plumbing problems he was able to address them immediately. He always gets back to emails or missed phone calls as soon as possible and is really easygoing and listens to concerns seriously and patiently. Mark is a great landlord and definitely takes care to make tenancy living in his properties a good experience. I highly recommend him as a landlord.

I’m a professional who lived in the property for 3 years. Apart from a few issues with the bathroom, which were sorted, I never had any trouble during my tenancy. Mark was always very quick to respond and easy to reach. The service has always been to the highest standards.

Stayed for a year – all rooms were newly furnished. Weren’t many problems – can only recall oven breaking and drains getting blocked. Both times Mark sorted it out straight away, he was very helpful and easy to contact all through the year.

I’ve spent over two years at one of the Starbeck’s properties. I would highly recommend it. I’ve never had any problems with the property or my landlord, who was always very friendly and helpful. A great experience altogether.
